Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
- Meanwhile, spray a large frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and fry the onion and bacon until the onion has softened and the bacon is cooked.
- Stir in the Amatriciana seasoning and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and half a tin of water.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little extra water if the sauce becomes too thick.
- Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the sauce.
- Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated.
Optional Garlic Ciabatta
- Lightly spray the ciabatta with low-calorie cooking spray.
- Rub the cut garlic clove over the bread.
- Top with the reduced-fat cheese.
- Grill until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
