Amatriciana Pasta

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, spray a large frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and fry the onion and bacon until the onion has softened and the bacon is cooked.
  3. Stir in the Amatriciana seasoning and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and half a tin of water.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little extra water if the sauce becomes too thick.
  6. Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the sauce.
  7. Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated.

Optional Garlic Ciabatta

  1. Lightly spray the ciabatta with low-calorie cooking spray.
  2. Rub the cut garlic clove over the bread.
  3. Top with the reduced-fat cheese.
  4. Grill until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
