Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / 400°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the self-raising flour and salt. Add the yoghurt and stir until a dough forms.
- Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide into 4 equal pieces, roll each into a rope, and join the ends to form bagels.
- Place on the tray, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with toppings if using.
- Bake for 20–25 mins until golden and firm.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.

Gluten-free: Use gluten-free self-raising flour and add ½ tsp baking powder if your flour isn’t pre-mixed with it.

Freezing: Cool completely, slice, and freeze in a bag — toast from frozen.
