Salt & Pepper Chips
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- Low calorie cooking spray
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 red pepper, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 red chilli, finely sliced
- ½ tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/2 tsp sweetener
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp chilli flakes
- 3 spring onions, finely sliced
- Adjust chilli to taste.

- Preheat oven to 220 degrees or 200 degrees fan.
- Cut the potatoes into chunky chips or wedges.
- Add the chips to a pan of boiling water, reduce the heat to a simmer. After 5 minutes, remove from the pan and drain the water.
- Spread the chips out onto a baking tray. and spray generously with low calorie cooking spray. cook for 20-25 mins.
- Spray a pan with low calorie cooking spray, then add the onion, peppers, garlic and chilli. Fry on a low heat for 5 minutes, or until the onions turn golden.
- Mix the Chinese five-spice, sweetener, salt, chilli flakes and pepper together.
- Remove the chips from the oven, then add to your serving dish.
- Add the onion and pepper mixture to the cooked chips, then sprinkle with the seasoning you just prepared. Mix it all together to get an even coating. Add the spring onions
