Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal squares.
- Place a little protein custard in the centre of each square.
- Arrange approximately 6 cherries around the custard, towards the outer edges.
- Fold the pastry over to create the classic oranais shape. Repeat with the remaining pastry.
- Brush each pastry with beaten egg.
- Place on a lined baking tray and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Tip: Make them smaller for a lighter sweet treat — perfect with a cup of tea or coffee!
